Despite topping both Friday practice sessions, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc believes it’s “too early to feel positive” about a strong result at the Monaco Grand Prix. Initially facing a scare when he clipped Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin in FP1, Leclerc improved his pace throughout the day, setting the fastest lap times in both sessions. Leclerc cautiously acknowledged the positive performance but remained reserved about Ferrari’s overall chances for the weekend. He emphasized the need to capitalize on qualifying pace in Monaco and expressed confidence in the team’s performance across different tire compounds. Leclerc’s teammate, Lewis Hamilton, praised the Monaco circuit and highlighted the importance of fine-tuning driving techniques for improved performance. Looking ahead to qualifying, both drivers prioritize starting at the front for a competitive race on the challenging street circuit.
